ABOUT.

Sophie is a multi media artist specialising in ceramics. Her practice focuses on iconic landscapes of British industrial history and our relationship with the natural world. She travels the country documenting and gathering inspiration to translate into pieces that communicate the richness of ceramics, and question its historical and cultural significance. Through formal symbolism, surface treatment and spacial curation, her work illustrates these social narratives.

Currently running her studio from home. She has shown her work at New Designers in London, Bevere Gallery, The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and Earth and Fire International Ceramic Fair.

Her practice has a strong sustainable ethic, using production and processing methods which minimise waste.
